The UEFA Futsal Cup 2017-2018: SPORTING KICKS OFF MAIN ROUND WITH VICTORY

This Wednesday was unbelievably intense for European club futsal – seven teams in the main round of the UEFA Cup held 14 matches just in one day. Let’s take a look on their results.

Path A

In the capital of Belarus, the Minsk “Stalitsa” played in the first round in Group 1 with the Moscow-based “Dynamo”, which now plays in the Russian futsal Superleague. Until the 36th minute the team from Minsk was losing 1: 3, but in the remaining four and a half minutes made a comeback. Than in half a minute two more goals were scored in the gate of “Dynamo”, and in 1.17 before the final siren, Mikhail Gritsyna scored one more goal, which in this game was victorious. As a result, 5: 3 – the victory of the “Stalitsa”, and almost for sure it had secured a way out to the elite round.

Moscow “Dina” confidently started in Group 2, beating in the first match the hosts of the group – 5: 2. Thanks to this result, “Dina” came out on the first place in Group B, ahead of “Movistar Inter” due to more goals scored. The Spanish team defeated the Portuguese “Braga” in the opening match with a score of 4: 1 and on Thursday, October 12, will meet with “Dina”.

GROUP 2 (Maribor, Slovenia)

“Ekonomac” in the last 4 seconds of the match snatched the victory from “Nykars” – 2: 1. Ukrainian “Prodexim” played with much stronger opponent from Portugal. After all, “Sporting” – is an active vice- champion among European clubs, and in this season it will try to get rid of the prefix “vice”. The beginning of the second half turned out to be catastrophic for “Prodexim” – two Sporting’s attacks, and after Kavinato’s brace the score increased to 5: 0. At 39th minute Ukrainians at least managed to score a goal, so the match has ended at 5: 1.

GROUP 3 (Kragujevac, Serbia)

Czech “ERA-PAK” in the first match of Group 4 achieved a positive result in the game with the champion of Italy. Italians were ahead twice, but both times the “”ERA-PAK” equaled the scores.

An incredibly important victory in his second match in Group 6 got “Record” from Bielsko-Biala. After two rounds in this group there is a rare situation when all four teams have 3 points, and “Record” close the standings. To become the first in the group, “Record” should not only win at the final round, which will be played on Friday, with “‘t Knooppunt”, but also should hope that “Slovan” will lose points in the game with the champion of Georgia.
