Brazil will meet Russia at the Youth Olympic Futsal Tournament Final

The Russian national futsal team reached the final of the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games, which is held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the semi-finals, the Russians beat 3: 1 the national team of Egypt.

Sergei Skorovich’s team scored two quick goals, but in the middle of the first half, Egypt scored one ball back. At the beginning of the second half, the Russian team regained the advantage of two goals and confidently won the match. Note that Egypt only managed to make six shots on target per game in the match against Russia.

The Russian national futsal team will compete for the gold medal with Brazil, who defeated Argentina in the semi-finals with the 3:2 score.

Unfortunately for the thousands of local fans, who formed a 500-meters long queue to get to the match, Brazil won a tight match against Argentina with goals by Guilherme Henrique Borges Sanches, Breno Bertoline Dendal Rosa and Joao Victor Alves Sena. The goals for Argentina were scored by Agustin Raggiati and Santiago Rufino.

Egypt will meet Argentina in the match for the third place on 18 October at 10:30 local time. The Russia-Brazil gold medal match starts the same day at 13:00 local time. Both matches will take place at the Main Futsal Hall in Buenos Aires, and will be streamed live on Fifa.com.
